Aromatic, feathery bronze fennel plant foliage is an attractive filler in any garden. Use fresh fennel plant leaves in salads, soups and herb vinegar. Bronze fennel is a host plant for the Eastern Black Swallowtail Butterfly.

Fennel Sugar

1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. fennel flowers

Place the sugar and fennel flowers in a mortar and grind with a pestle. Store Fennel Sugar in an airtight container for up to one month. Use in a steaming cup of tea, on baked goods or over the ripest peaches you can find.
