Great for high heats in Summer, used in Mexican dishes as a substitute for Cilantro. Great for tacos, salsas, and sauces. Pinch the growing tips while young to get them to bush out into a sturdier plant, otherwise they can be spindly and flop over.
Quick & Easy Flavor
Great for tacos, salsas and sauces. Papalo is often referred to as papaloquelite, poreleaf, mampuito, Summer cilantro, and Bolivian coriander. It doesn’t taste identical to cilantro but if you just want a vibrant herb substitute, it’s excellent! The flavor is similar to mix of nasturtium flowers, lime, and cilantro.
