The Lettuce Plant by Savor

Many don’t realize that lettuce is actually an annual plant from the daisy family. It’s most often grown as a leaf vegetable, but sometimes for its stem and seeds. Lettuce is most often used for salads, alt-hough it is also seen in other kinds of food, like soups, sandwiches, wraps, and even smoothies; it can also be grilled.
