The Zucchini Plant by Savor
Zucchini is a summer squash that can reach nearly 3-ft. long, but usually harvested immature at 6-10”. As a squash, zucchini typically appear dark or light green, but some have yellow or orange col-oration. Although technically a botanical fruit, in a culinary context, zucchini is treated as a vegetable, and is usually cooked and presented as a savory dish or side dish.
Savor zucchini plants include our early producer Aristocrat, as well as our spineless EasyPick Green and white striped Safari. They are available in 4” biodegradable coir pots that can be planted directly in the ground, and include an eye-catching Snap Off® garden tag that features a recipe and suggested uses on the back. The tag also serves as a stake identifier so you can keep track of the zucchini in your garden.
